Complaints Procedure
The Architect’s Registration Board (ARB) is the organisation set up by Parliament to regulate architects in the UK. One of the ARB’s duties is to deal with complaints about an architect’s conduct or competence. You will find full details of how the ARB’s complaints procedure works at http://www.arb.org.uk/complaint-making-a-complaint.
The AABC refers all complaints made to us about our registered architects to the ARB.
The AABC Register accredits architects in good faith, based on information of past experience submitted by applicants.
We are not a regulatory body and cannot guarantee the appropriateness of any registrant for a specific commission. Clients should take a number of factors into consideration when appointing an architect. You may find the advice offered by the ARB helpful http://www.arb.org.uk/you-and-your-architect-choosing-an-architect.
