  • Document Upload and Management: Uploading and managing your documents has never been easier. The portal allows PDF uploads providing secure storage, so you can be confident that your application materials are safe and organised.

Our new Guidance Notes are more than just an update—they’re a complete overhaul based on feedback from members of the register and our volunteer assessment teams. Key improvements include:

  • Clearer Structure: We've reorganised the content to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. Whether you're looking for a quick answer or an in-depth explanation, you can find what you need quickly and efficiently.

  • Updated Information: All sections have been thoroughly reviewed and updated to reflect our new website and application format.

Civic Trust Award Assessors

The 2025 Civic Trust Awards application round has now closed and they are currently seeking volunteers to undertake Assessment Visits on their behalf.

Whorlton Bridge History Study Group Visit 

A free study visit is being organised by the Institution of Structural Engineers History Study Group to Whorlton Bridge, the oldest suspension bridge in Britain, which still relies on its original chains. Designed by John Green and opened in 1831, this historic bridge is currently undergoing a major renovation. The project involves complete dismantling, testing, and restoration of the structure.
