Mark Hammond

Director and co-owner of specialist historic buildings practice Caroe Architecture Ltd, with around 20 staff and bases in London, Cambridge and York, Mark Hammond has worked in conservation all his career and has been accredited by the AABC since the inception of the scheme in 1999.

The practice provides full architectural and conservation services, and offers Heritage Consultancy to prepare Conservation Management Plans, Statements of Significance, and Heritage Impact Assessments.

Mark's project experience includes for National Museums, Oxbridge colleges, and Cathedrals of international significance, as well as buildings of regional and local importance for organisations such as Historic England, the National Trust, Historic Royal Palaces, charities, and local authorities.

Separate to the work of his practice, Mark is also a trustee of the Georgian Group, one of the national amenity societies, and chairs their casework committee.
