Scott Lindsay

Scott is a partner for Simpson & Brown.
Scott first joined Simpson & Brown in 2000 whilst a student at the University of Dundee. He qualified in 2003 with a first class honours degree.

Scott believes that the constraints and context of sensitive environments give rise to more creative design solutions. He has delivered a number of high profile projects including the Tom Fleming Centre for Performing Arts, Stewart’s Melville College, Edinburgh and York Art Gallery. Recently Scott led the multi-disciplinary design team on the multi-award-winning Johnnie Walker Princes Street project. He is currently overseeing a project to repair the ruined 12th century Cistercian Rufford Abbey for English Heritage. Scott is a collaborative team player and works constructively to identify opportunities and proactively address technical issues. He is experienced in the delivery of a number of large scale and complex projects. Scott approaches projects methodically, overseeing delivery from conceptual stages to on-site construction works.

Scott is appointed Cathedral Architect at Newcastle Cathedral and St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall, Orkney.

Scott holds AABC Accreditation and RIAS Accreditation in Conservation Architecture at the highest level.
